För att hjälpa detta köpbeslut publicerar tyska tidningen Auto Bild resultaten av sina förtester, som är utformade för att hjälpa dem att välja de bästa helårsdäcken att skicka igenom till deras fullständiga helårsdäckstest.

I år har Auto Bild testat 31 helårsdäck i 225/45 R17 i våt- och torrbromsning, och de tio bästa går vidare till hela testet nästa månad.

Anmärkningsvärda föreställningar

Än en gång ser den nya Bridgestone Weather Control A005 ut att vara ett utmärkt val i Storbritannien, med de kortaste våta och nästan kortaste torra bromssträckorna, som till och med slår den torroptimerade specialisten från Michelin CrossClimate+.

Nya Vredestein Quatrac Pro hade också ett utmärkt resultat och slutade trea tack vare ett extremt starkt vått resultat, och Maxxis AP3 var det starkaste däcket i det torra och slutade fyra.

Tyvärr hamnade inte Falken och Nokian bland de tio bästa. Särskilt Nokian WeatherProof är ett helårsdäck för kraftig snö, så det är ingen stor överraskning att det kämpade i våta och torra tester.

Det är också värt att notera, de bästa däcken på test stoppade fordonet på kortare avstånd i vått tillstånd än de sämsta däcken gjorde i torrt, och med en spridning på nästan 20 meter i vått, visar det att billiga helårsdäck är mer farligt än billiga sommardäck.
